How To Market Your Skill As A Writer
Good writers are jewelers. Like
building blocks, they have acquired the skills to carefully select
words that convey specific meanings to readers all over the world.
Acquiring the skills to write copies that would add values to readers
takes time and a lot of effort. It's
not a childlike party to leave your comfort zone, read anything and
everything under the sun, sleep less at night, stay on your computer
until the kingdom comes, browse the net for specific information, etc.
But, above all, you have to write Writing and writing. Read only 1%, while the practice is 99%. There is no magic in drafting good copies. It's
more of a practice than speech. But when you write good copies, you
have to make the world know. In this 21st century, the computer and the
Internet have reduced our world to a global family. It was called a global village. Of course you know this, how can you market your writing skills to the whole world? Good question. The
Internet is a powerful global library and dynamic market place for
everyone. Therefore, whatever product or service you offer to mankind
can be found on online and offline buyers. Websites, blogs, social
media, e-mail, forums, directories, online advertising agencies , Etc., are good platforms to advertise yourself. But, let me be realistic with you, my brother, my sister. Like
every effort under the sun, there is no quick fix approach to market
yourself first and then make money online. It is work first before you
pay. When you go to some restaurants in Nigeria and abroad, you can order meals before paying. Yes,
some will ask for money before you eat. In the online writing business,
you have to work, search, read, browse and request specific information
from Google, or any of the search engines. For days, weeks, months or
even years, you should continue to advertise your presence ,
Give almost all of your products, free and then wait patiently for
conversions to start rolling in. But, the fact is that in a world of
good, bad and ugly, trusting online and offline is a big deal. I
have earned my readers trust. In 2015, the ITU reports quoted the ITU's
estimate that in a world of about 7 million,000 people, 3,200,000
people use the Internet. The Internet also employs about 2,000,000,000
people from developing countries and 89,000,000 from the least developed
countries. The numbers are a huge book market. But before I sign please remember the angle of trust that I told you before God bless humanity.
